Mine at home or host it?
A modern ASIC is as loud as a vacuum cleaner and produces the heat of three electric heaters. That is the core of the decision.
Home: realistic conditions
Expect 70–80 dB from a standard model — too loud for living space. Immersion cooling or quiet firmware helps but costs performance.
Check your electrical connection: 3,000 watts continuously on one circuit is too much for many Dutch and Belgian homes.

Hosting: what to check in the contract
Hosts charge per kWh or per machine per month. Ask for the all-in price, curtailment rules and uptime guarantee.
More important than price: who legally owns the machine, what happens on insolvency and how you physically get hardware back.

Cloud mining: why we are cautious
Cloud mining sells a contract, not a machine. You can rarely verify the hashrate exists, and providers often reserve the right to pay in their own tokens.
Treat it as an unsecured loan to an unknown party.

Can I heat my home with a miner?
Yes. Electric heating is 100% efficient, so all power becomes heat and mining revenue is effectively a discount on your heating bill.
What is a normal hosting price?
In Europe typically €0.06–0.10 per kWh all-in, depending on term and location.
Should I inform my grid operator?
For larger setups, yes. Sustained high consumption can require a heavier connection.
