Your biggest opponent is between your ears

Markets reward patience and punish impulses. In crypto that happens faster and harder, because the market never closes and someone is always shouting that you are late.

FOMO and social media

Fear of missing out comes from selective information: you see other people's gains, never their losses.

A practical brake: only buy 48 hours after the first idea, and only if you can still explain the position in two sentences.

Loss aversion

Losses feel roughly twice as heavy as equal gains, so investors hold losers too long and sell winners too early.

Treat every position as if you had to buy it today at the current price. If you would not, you are holding it for your entry price only.

Noise versus signal

Daily price moves contain almost no information about a multi-year horizon, yet attract most attention.

Limit intake to what can change decisions: regulation, adoption, network usage, macro liquidity.

  • 48-hour rule for new positions
  • Judge positions as if buying today
  • Fixed moments to read news

An investment journal

Write one sentence of reasoning per trade. After a year you see which reasons produced good decisions.

It costs a minute per trade and is the only honest feedback you will get.

Ofte stilte spørsmål

How do I stop checking prices daily?

Turn off alerts, schedule fixed weekly moments and work from a written plan so there is nothing to decide in between.

How do I handle regret after a missed rally?

Judge the decision on the information you had, not the outcome.

Does a journal really help?

Yes — it prevents you from rewriting your memory to match the outcome.
