Large transfers are visible to everyone, which makes them tempting as a signal. Interpretation is harder than the alert headline suggests.
What a large transfer is
Moving a thousand bitcoin is a fact; what it means is not included.
Many large transfers are internal reshuffles by exchanges or custodians.
Exchange flows as context
Inflows are read as selling pressure and outflows as accumulation; useful over weeks, noise per day.
Address labelling is imprecise and often lags.
