Products

AMD designs server and PC processors, graphics cards and data-centre AI accelerators, manufactured by TSMC.

Server CPUs are the commercial strength: data centres run ordinary workloads on them alongside AI racks.

The software fight

Hardware is not the bottleneck; the ecosystem is. Customers want existing AI code to run unchanged, where Nvidia has years of lead.

AMD therefore invests heavily in its software stack and in partnerships with model builders.

Risks

Cyclical PC demand, reliance on a single foundry, and whether big customers truly switch or mainly use AMD to negotiate prices.

Ofte stilte spørsmål

Why choose AMD?

Price-performance, availability and avoiding single-vendor dependence.

Does AMD make its own chips?

No, it designs them and has TSMC manufacture them.

Does the PC business still matter?

Yes, it provides steady volume but tracks consumer demand.
