The reserve holds bitcoin, tron and stablecoins and targets a ratio well above 100 per cent, but is managed centrally rather than through open liquidations. A reserve dominated by the ecosystem's own token offers little protection when that ecosystem is stressed.
Peg history
USDD traded below a dollar for an extended period after the UST collapse in June 2022 and has shown wider deviations than USDC or USDT since.
Use and liquidity
Usage concentrates on Tron; liquidity elsewhere is limited and there is no MiCA authorisation for EU retail.
Risks
Reserve concentration, central management without enforceable retail redemption, and demonstrated peg sensitivity.
