Built for payments
The focus is transfers and merchant payouts inside PayPal and Venmo, with on-chain availability on Ethereum and Solana. Supply is small next to USDT and USDC, which matters less for payment use.
Peg and liquidity
Direct redemption keeps the peg tight, but thinner on-chain markets mean more slippage on large orders than with USDC.
Europe
As a US-supervised dollar token, EU availability is limited under MiCA, and euro holders carry currency risk on any balance.
